Funny Man (1967) By Director John Korty. FUNNYMAN is the second feature film John Korty made while living in Stinson Beach. (The first was THE CRAZY-QUILT) The comedy follows an actor in an improvisational troupe, The Committee, as he moves from North Beach and show business to the beaches of Bolinas, where he meets Arthur Okamura and Jonathan fishing. He also meets a beautiful model (Sandra Archer) in Arthur’s art class and tries to explain to her his search for meaning beyond fishing for laughs. It was shown at film festivals in London, New York and San Francisco in 1967. Movie will be followed with Q&A with Director John Korty. This is a free event!
