The Briones Lions Club is Proud to Present:

Bolinas 4th of July Celebration – 2014

Schedule of Events:

9:00 am  –  Tug of War: Stinson Beach vs. Bolinas: Women then Men

10:00 am – Line-up on Wharf Rd for parade, beginning at museum, dancers    last, $ prizes for top 5 judged entries: $200, $125, $75, $75, $50

10:00 am – Lions Club tent: Open for food, beverages, t-shirts, donations

11:00 pm – Parade, dancing and music:  below Smiley’s Balcony

Important Information:  Plan Ahead!!!

 * 8:00 am to 5 pm – Motor vehicle access to downtown will be restricted

   Note: Roadblock and Traffic Control Locations:

  * Intersection of Olema-Bolinas Road and Mesa Road

  * Overlook and Terrace intersection

  * The downtown access at Olema-Bolinas Rd, Wharf Rd. & Brighton

  * $10 (cash only) Parking lot at Mesa Park: Stage shuttle service to downtown

 * Handicap and Senior Citizen drop-off/pick-up will be at the corner of  Brighton Avenue and Wharf Road in the Bolinas Hardware Store vicinity, but please use Mesa Park shuttle service which can accommodate handicapped

 * Downtown access for local merchants is not permitted between 10 am and 1 pm (no exceptions, so plan ahead!)

 * Sheriff’s Deputies will be on hand to help keep the event safe, and please note parking violations will be ticketed

 * No fireworks! Zero tolerance policy on all fireworks, and strictly enforced!

 * No Fires anywhere including the Beach!  Low tide this year at 10 am

 * Community volunteers and police officers will be on hand, and available. Questions and problems, report to Lions Club personnel at tent or volunteers working at roadblocks, parking lot, and shuttle turn-around
