Screenagers

screenagersTuesday, May 31st, Free Event
6:00pm (Doors open and Refreshments offered by the Bolinas-Stinson School PTO)
6:30pm (Film Screening)
7:45pm (Post-Film Q&A)

Please join us for a special screening of ‘Screenagers’. Written, produced and directed by two local Fairfax parents, this film explores the impact of screen time on kids AND offers solutions on how we can help our kids find balance. Since launching in January 2016, the film has received non-stop national press – NPR, Good Morning America, ABC 7 News, Dr. Oz, Huffington Post, etc. etc.

We would like to offer the film at no cost to families and community members. We highly encourage parents to view this film with their children (ages 10 and up), tweens, and teens. (This film is even for parents of smaller children – they, too, might one day be influenced by older siblings, video games, social media and ‘screen time’). The recommended ages for viewing are 10 and up.

We hope to spark a community conversation about how to collectively raise our children in a world of snapchatting, instagramming, YouTube, video games, etc. etc. As an added bonus, the Bolinas-Stinson School Foundation has generously provided funds for the Producer of the film, Lisa Tabb, to attend the screening and moderate a post screening discussion. This is an event you won’t want to miss! Continue reading
