Over the years, Art & Garden at the Bolinas Community Center has become an important springtime fundraising event. This year we look forward to a particularly inspired and rich festival, as the community comes together to deepen and celebrate it’s relationship to our native landscape, both inside and outside of the garden.

AT THE FOOT OF THE MOUNTAIN: Performance Arising from Place
An evening of Music, Stories & Performances by the following performers:

Create- Your-Own Fairy House Workshop on the stage $10-$15

12 noon – 5pm (Saturday) Flora Fauna Mural with fabulous artist Schehera Van Dyk

in the Community Center’s Plaza

1pm Common Voice Choir will sing a few Miwok songs andlocal-grown song “High Upon Mount Vision” by Tim Weed

1pm-4pm  (Saturday) A Magical School Bus Tour: From Garden to Wild
with Ben Lowrance, Lea Earnheart and Ashley Ratcliff
by reservation /spaces limited/$20 ($50 family) – call Lea 415.868-9330
Meet-up and tour the all-native garden at the front of Bolinas School,
then onto the schoolbus to visit the Arroyo Honda watershed,
with a restoration-site stopover on the Big Mesa
Vendors and Exhibits include, but not limited to: California Native Plant Society, Redwood Display by Rachel Gertrude, Coastal Scrub by Meg Simmonds, Grass Show by Ashley Ratcliffe, Wildcare, Kent Island Restoration, Owl & Bat Boxes, Birds by Keith Hansen, Larner Seeds with Judith Lowry, The Food Connection with Michael Cavette, Coastal Prairie, Mountain Water Shrine & Natural Landscapes by Lea Earnheart

Regional All-Species Parade and Maypole in the Park
A Mayday celebration in our Downtown Park weaving together ALL
the inhabitants of our region – human and non-human.
Midnight on the Water plays Celtic music for the Maypole Dance!
2:30pm (Sunday)
Kids Share Their Music at the BCC
Bolinas-Stinson School Choruses and Band perform, with teacher Anny.
4pm Silent Auction and Art Auction Close
– Thank you to Vanessa Waring for her beautiful artwork on the poster!
– KWMR Radio Station is sponsoring Art & Garden 2016!
