A Short Film by Ole Schell – Community Center Benefit
Bolinas resident, Ole Schell, has made a short film about two boys going on an adventure in Bolinas in the 1980’s. The film features real Bolinas kids and first time actors, Logan Malvin, Marius Salone, Lana Glavis and Sadie Mann. It also features Temple, who some may recognize from Jerry’s play. This film is based on a full feature length script Ole wrote over the past year and half called Ragman’s Cave. The team shot the short film every day after school for two and a half weeks using the resources they had and the locations they all grew up in. “I was able to spend time with Logan and Marius and see the town again through their eyes. We have the same shortcuts, same trees and even the occasional grown up yelling at us to slow down on our motorcycles” says Ole.
Donations for a new projector, screen and sound system for the community center will be accepted but not expected. There will be drama, there will be laughter and there will be an epic 80’s police car and motorcycle chase. This short is a glimpse of a larger feature film they hope to make.
We will start with a meet and greet out over popcorn, snacks, beer and wine, followed by the film, a Q & A and then we can hang some more! It’s a short film so it won’t run late. Those who want to can stay after for a drink and revelry.
