Vermont Boy In West Oakland

Tuesday January 15, 7 pm
A One Man Show by Michael Sommers, 90 Minutes, FREE ENTRY

Vermont-Boy-mock-upVermont Boy in West Oakland is the true story of when my wife asked me to leave and I moved into a foreclosed house in tough West Oakland.  I play about 30 characters in this 90 minute show including David, my next door neighbor, he definitely tested me. Using my small town boy skills- say hi to everyone, mind your own business, don’t judge- I seemed to pass the test. Today, David confides in me about all sorts of things, like his son being sent to Juvie… for breaking into my house.

I was supportive.

It’s full of suspense, laughter and music- and its all true!
