Springtime Square Dance

Come welcome in the Spring with a good ol’ square dance! Live old-time music performed by The West County Pickers with a special guest caller from Portland Oregon Marta King.

Bolinas Library Presents Cajun & Creole Dance Music

Saturday March 17th, 3pm, free

Marin County Free Library presents: Eric and Suzy Thompson Bring the Spice and Stomp of Cajun Country to West Marin!

A One Book One Marin Program

Using diatonic accordion, fiddle, and guitar, Eric and Suzy Thompson will perform a mix of Cajun waltzes and two-steps, Creole blues, and even an unaccompanied Cajun ballad with its origins in medieval France! This is the Cajun and Creole dance music, complete with authentic Cajun French lyrics, that’s been an integral part of celebrations in southwest Louisiana for over one hundred years.
