Learn a series of gentle focused movements that can be practiced daily to re-educate the body to move freely with ease and flexibility. Somatic Exercises release habituated pain and chronic discomfort, restores muscle function and renewed awareness in moving through daily life. Yoga with Angela Sterpka ~ 7:00- Decompress body, mind and spirit with this soulful yoga practice suitable for all levels. Classes are a hatha-flow that incorporate asana (yoga postures), breath work, internal practices and meditation so that students may grow their own body awareness and expand their limits. $12/class or 5 classes for $50.

Each class will be a balanced mix of strengthening, lengthening and relaxing poses, with continuity from week to week so you can really see what a difference a regular yoga practice can make. We will also lso build up to a “peak pose” that varies from class to class, so we are sure to cover a variety of poses every month: chest openers, back openers, balancing poses, inversions, etc.
Cost: $15/classWear: comfortable clothes with room to move, a shirt that won’t fall in your face when bend over from standing (tuck it in or where a snug one ; – )

Come & Be “Beautiful at the Ballet”
Fridays 10:30 to Noon (no class the 4th Friday of each month.) Drop-in single class $15, Five classes $60. The class includes Ballet Barre, Stretching, Center Work & Across the Floor.
Dance is a wonderful centerpiece for life. You live it. You breathe it. Ballet develops muscular strength, agility, & co-ordination as well as good posture, poise & grace. The art of ballet is related to the arts of music, sculpture, literature, drama, and design both in its technique and in its ideals of beauty and strength. Ballet, gives a lift to the spirit and is just plain FUN. Wear comfortable workout clothes (not baggy) and ballet shoes. Hair should be away from face and neck. Erika Townsend has been teaching ballet for over fifty years in NYC, California & right here in Bolinas since 2013.

Get a great workout as you learn different dances of Brazil, from Carnaval Samba, to traditional Afro-Brazilian movement, and lots in-between! Classes are high energy and fun, and feature a thorough warm-up, and movement across the floor, set to beautiful, fast-paced, authentic rhythms. All levels welcome! Wear comfortable dance/workout clothes – you WILL sweat! Get a great workout and get your culture on!
