Somatic Exercises ~ 9:30 – 10:45 am

Learn a series of gentle focused movements that can be practiced daily to re-educate the body to move freely with ease and flexibility.  Somatic Exercises release habituated pain and chronic discomfort, restores muscle function and renewed awareness in moving through daily life. This class will focus on your needs as well as: Improving posture, Strengthening you r core, Increasing Flexibility, Injury Prevention,

A Contemporary Dance Class – Open to Teenagers & Adults
CoreContact is a contemporary dance class for the mind-full body. Joining mind/body modalities with release based modern dance we begin by warming our bodies with a focus placed on our breath, the body’s alignment, our soft tissue and bones. This attention established, we will build from simple movement exercises to longer dance phrases. Phrase material will emphasize: going in and out of the floor with ease, dancing boldly & covering lots of space, taking chances off balance, embodying articulate gestures,& developing musicality within our strong, efficient, and graceful bodies.

The F.L.A.G. Ship Program ~ 1:15 PM – 2:30 PM, Bolinas Library, 14 Wharf Rd, Bolinas

The F.L.A.G.ship program, in partnership with Marin County Free Library, offers FREE drop-in bilingual preschool activities for families with children 0 to 5 years old on-board our bus. Stories, songs, games, crafts and other fun Kindergarten-readiness activities engage children and adults together. Information and referrals for family services are always available.

BCAST Theater Classes are designed to extend the student’s creative drama experience by expanding their imagination, building their confidence, and developing sensitivity (listening & observing skills) during the process of creating & problem solving when working with others.  Theater exercises focus on spontaneity, presence of mind, and the power of positive choice while strengthening the actor’s body, mind & voice.

Beginning Yoga with Brenda Stine ~6:00 – 7:15 pm (ON HOLD TILL SUMMER 2018)

Each class will be a balanced mix of strengthening, lengthening and relaxing poses, with continuity from week to week so you can really see what a difference a regular yoga practice can make. We will also lso build up to a “peak pose” that varies from class to class, so we are sure to cover a variety of poses every month: chest openers, back openers, balancing poses, inversions, etc.

 Cost: $15/classWear: comfortable clothes with room to move, a shirt that won’t fall in your face when bend over from standing (tuck it in or where a snug one ; – )

Yoga Flow with Brenda Stine ~ 7:30am – 9:00 am / $15 OR $5 for caregivers working with the elderly  (ON HOLD TILL SUMMER 2018)

Start your day with a dynamic yoga class that moves fluidly through poses, with mindful attention to your body and breath. The class is set to music and is both vigorous and relaxing: restoring balance to body, mind and soul.


Food Bank ~ 12 noon. The San Francisco Food Bank and the Marin Food Bank brings food assistance for those who need it


After-School Spanish for 3rd-6th Graders,~ 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm. A series of seven classes. $75 per student. Help your child stretch her/his mind with the mental gymnastics of learning a second language! Fun class focusing on communication/conversation and developing an ear for the sounds of the language. Introduction to the basics of grammar of a foreign language. Taught by a native speaker, Liliam Alfaro, who has also taught French and Latin to children and adults. For more info please contact Liliam at docforcats@gmail.com


Aikido with Bruce ~ 5:45pm – 7:00 pm, starts March 8th 2018

Aikido is a non-aggressive form of self-defense that emphasizes the control of the self as the path to control of a situation. Wear loose clothing or martial arts gi. Cost $5 mat fee per session. Ages 10 and up. All experience levels welcome. Sensei is Bruce Fox, Godan in Seidokan Aikido, the chief instructor at Point Reyes Aikido.

BALLET CLASS for Adults and Teens, Beginner-Advanced, with Erika Townsend

Come & Be “Beautiful at the Ballet”

Fridays 10:30 to Noon (no class the 4th Friday of each month.) Drop-in single class $15, Five classes $60. The class includes Ballet Barre, Stretching, Center Work & Across the Floor.

Dance is a wonderful centerpiece for life. You live it. You breathe it. Ballet develops muscular strength, agility, & co-ordination as well as good posture, poise & grace. The art of ballet is related to the arts of music, sculpture, literature, drama, and design both in its technique and in its ideals of beauty and strength. Ballet, gives a lift to the spirit and is just plain FUN. Wear comfortable workout clothes (not baggy) and ballet shoes. Hair should be away from face and neck. Brazilian Dance Class with Anna Gottreich ~ 11:00 am – 12:15pm (Last Sunday of the month only  – please check with Anna Gottreich <annagott@sbcglobal.net> if class is happening!)

Get a great workout as you learn different dances of Brazil, from Carnaval Samba, to traditional Afro-Brazilian movement, and lots in-between! Classes are high energy and fun, and feature a thorough warm-up, and movement across the floor, set to beautiful, fast-paced, authentic rhythms. All levels welcome! Wear comfortable dance/workout clothes – you WILL sweat! Get a great workout and get your culture on!
