The consensus is the worst of the pandemic is behind us. The community center has begun holding fundraisers again after a longer than expected hiatus. Through the diligence of the administrative staff the center remained open by utilizing the CARES ACT and receiving grants from local community funds and foundations. The center continues to support distribution of both food and take home covid tests to any in need, maintain the public restroom, facilitate daily village & beach cleanup, and provide jobs for residents.

“Our mission is to foster inclusive community participation by providing an environmentally sound facility for arts, education, recreation, celebration, and locally based human services in order to increase opportunity for personal and collective growth in our community.”

Our goal is to respond to the ever-changing needs of our village population. We strive to improve the quality of life in Bolinas, but we need your help.

Over the past decade the administrative staff and board of directors have built and maintained a financial reserve. This reserve supported the operating budget deficit created by the limits on both fundraising and hall rentals produced by the pandemic. The goal is to maintain a solid operating budget, replenish the reserves for future unexpected expenses, and further the center’s strategic plan.

Much has been accomplished over the years, remodeling the foyer and restroom to provide accessibility to wheelchair users, replacement of heating ductwork with vermin proof materials, upgrades of equipment, maintaining the business, repaving the plaza, and so much more, all while providing a community space.
